DIVERSITY FORUM with Dr. Hanna Massad
Tuesday, April 28, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

This month’s Diversity Forum on April 28 will feature Dr. Hanna Massad, pastor of Gaza Evangelical Church in Gaza City, Palestine. Massad will speak in convocation on Tuesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. and again on Tuesday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Stephen Annex of McCormick Dining Hall. He will discuss the state of Christian faith in the Middle East nations.

Massad was born in Gaza City and received his bachelor of arts degree from Bethlehem Bible College. He served as the minister of Gaza Evangelical Church until he came to the United States to attend Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif., where he received his master’s of divinity in 1994 and Ph.D. in theology in 2000. Massad returned to Gaza City after his time at Fuller to serve in the position he holds now.

In addition to his appearances at Milligan, Massad will also speak in chapel at Emmanuel School of Religion on Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. He will also attend Adoration at Hopwood Memorial Christian Church on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, Massad will speak to Dr. Bert Allen’s social psychology class at 9:05 a.m. and in Dr. Susan Higgins’s cultural anthropology class at 10:10 a.m.
